The BBQ Store Delivery Policy
At The BBQ Store Pty Ltd, we aim to make your delivery smooth and predictable. Please read the details below to understand how we deliver different types of products.
1. Order Confirmation
After placing your order online, you will receive an email confirmation containing your order details (if you’ve provided your email address). Our system should normally confirm receipt of your order within a few minutes.
2. Delivery of Bulky Goods (BBQs, Smokers, Outdoor Kitchens, Fridges, etc.)
Most of our products are classified as bulky goods. Standard delivery is kerbside or ground-floor only, which means the courier will deliver to the nearest safe and accessible point at your property, such as:
- Driveway or garage entrance
- Front door (if accessible without stairs)
- Building entrance or loading dock for units/apartments
Please note:
- Couriers are not able to carry items upstairs, into homes, backyards, or through side paths.
- Couriers usually operate solo and cannot provide extra assistance with heavy items.
- Delivery drivers may place items inside a garage or carport if it is easier to access than the front door.
If you require delivery beyond standard kerbside, please contact our sales team on 1300 041 051 before placing your order. We are currently working with our courier partners to offer an upgraded delivery service for an additional cost.
3. Fridges and Freezers
Fridges and freezers ship directly from our Melbourne warehouse every Monday for all paid orders in stock. To be included in Monday’s dispatch, your order must be confirmed and paid by the Friday prior.
Estimated delivery times: Faster shipping times available for an Additional $110.00 Inc GST (must be applied at time of order)
- Sydney customers: usually Thursday or Friday of the following week.
- Other interstate customers: vary depending on location (allow 7 - 10 days); dispatch always occurs on Monday
Tracking information will be provided once your fridge/freezer is on its way.
4. Units / Apartment Deliveries
We do deliver to units and apartments, but deliveries are ground-floor only. Couriers cannot carry bulky items upstairs or through lifts/common areas. Please ensure someone is available to assist with moving heavy items from the ground floor.
5. Delivery Costs
Delivery costs are calculated based on the size and weight of the item and the delivery postcode. You can view delivery costs at checkout. Bulky goods are heavier and may attract higher delivery fees due to the specialised trucks (tailgate lift) required to handle the bulky goods.
6. Delivery Timeframes
Delivery times vary depending on the product, location, and courier schedules:
- Metro Sydney: 3–5 business days
- Other metro areas: 5–10 business days
- Regional areas: longer, depending on courier availability
These are estimates only. Once your order is dispatched, you will receive tracking information.
7. Signatures & Missed Deliveries
A signature is required at the time of delivery unless you provide authority for the courier to leave the item.
- If no one is available, the item may be taken back to the courier depot or local post office.
- You will have 48 hours to collect your item before it is returned to our warehouse.
- Re-delivery of returned items will incur additional shipping charges.
Change of delivery address after dispatch will incur a $25 Redirect fee.
